Wound arose to satisfy the desire for a creative, clever and fresh alternative to current available menswear. Despite the negative connotations that come to mind when hearing the word “wound”, the Sarahs have chosen wound as an edifice. Wounds and heartbreaks shape our identity. Aligned with the Japanese aesthetic philosophy of wabi-sabi, beauty is found in the imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. Not to be confused with a lack of quality, but instead, a departure point. Each piece receives a treatment to distinguish the garment and its maker’s as humble within nature, often a small detail known only to the wearer. WOUND offers a wardrobe consisting of streetwear, casual styles and tailored, formal ensembles. While a slight improvement on nudity, WOUND endeavors to design unconventionally traditional clothes loved by men.

SARAHS joined forces in 2004 in Detroit. Before committing themselves to WOUND, they styled local bands, curated art exhibits, traveled the globe, and drank their fair share of alcoholic concoctions. Since the inception of WOUND the SARAHS have won numerous awards and gained public acclaim, amongst them, being chosen as Crain’s Detroit Business Top 20 in their 20s and even a stint on MTV as a celebrity judge.
